Helping People Know God...

What is a typical service like at Faith Church?

Our Sunday services normally begin with a musical segment, where the congregation participates in the praise and worship of God; usually between 3-5 songs that are contemporary in style. Announcements of coming events, a time of giving, and the ministry of the Word of God are the other main segments of the service.

What if I don’t understand everything you do?

No one, especially those new to the things of God, fully grasps all the supernatural things that happen in a worship service. Even the pastor might not know ahead of time all that God will do. We’re comfortable with that, and so is the Lord. In the Bible, during one of the strongest outpourings of God’s power, the people present didn’t seem to understand what was happening at all, and God wasn’t concerned about it. He knew that if they kept an open heart, they would understand later, as they grew.

And all were amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, What does this mean? (Acts 2:12)

If you don’t understand everything you see and hear, don’t worry about it a bit. That’s normal. Just keep coming, learning, and growing. The more you grow, the more you’ll know.

How long are your services?

Typically, our services last between an hour and an hour-and-a-half. We know that people’s time is valuable and we are careful not to waste it. We are also respectful of God’s time, meaning that if He is moving in a special way in the service, we welcome Him to take all time He needs to do that which He desires.

I don’t have it all together in my life. Will people there judge me?

Most of us remember what life was like before we knew the Lord, and we know that what He did for us, He’ll do for you, too. You won’t be judged – you’ll be loved, prayed for, and shown the answers that will bring you to a higher level of life than you’ve ever known.

Will I be singled out or introduced publicly?

No. We’re glad you’re here but we realize many people prefer to keep a low profile while they’re checking out a new place. Our Pastor may, during the announcements, welcome all who are guests. Don’t be surprised if some of our friendly people find you and introduce themselves. They want to help you feel at home.

Is there ministry for my children?

Yes. We want you to be able to receive from God during the service without being concerned for your little ones. At this time, we are able to offer Children’s ministry on Sunday mornings for kids up to age 6. As we grow and expand, we will be able to accommodate older elementary kids as well. Children 7 and up get to sit with their parents and enjoy the service. They do real well if they have their own Bible and notebook, where they can follow along, draw pictures, and take notes.

What translation of the Bible do you use in your services?

While we may occasionally reference other translations, we most often use the English Standard Version (ESV) as we preach and teach God’s Word. Believers are encouraged to bring their Bible with them to services, so they can better receive from the ministry of the Word.

What denomination is this?

We are Non Denominational, meaning that we don’t have a parent church that started us or a denominational headquarters that runs us. Our church is an independent Bible-believing fellowship, recognized by the IRS as a 501c3 not-for-profit corporation. Most people would consider our worship style Charismatic, Pentecostal, or Full-Gospel. A board of directors, comprised of several veteran ministers and businessmen, has the oversight of Faith Church Colorado. Additionally, our leaders submit to the leadership and strict guidelines of the organizations with which they hold their ministerial credentials.

Do you give wake-up calls on Sunday mornings?

No. Buy an alarm clock.
